Studio Classes

Movement and Me invites carers and their Little Movers to explore play-based movement responses through multi-sensory engagement, sequential learning and imaginative play. Classes provide purposeful activities which encourage development of social, emotional, language, cognitive and physical skills. Using musical instruments, indoor and outdoor activities and an array of carefully selected props and toys, Movement and Me is sure to delight your child!

Children are gently introduced to movement concepts through play and creative stimuli. Primary care givers are actively involved in the class allowing for a shared experience within a nurturing and structured environment. Musical instruments, story books, costumes and props are used to help keep students engaged and entertained.

A delicate and magical class for the tiniest of movers. Our Petite Moves classes encourage your child to join in imaginative and creative movement. Costumes, stories and props are playfully incorporated to inspire your child to move, to have fun and to learn.

An age appropriate, creative introduction to Jazz, Tap and Musical Theatre for pre-school aged students. Your child will delight in dancing to all their favourite songs, accompanied by energetic, up beat and exciting dance moves. Developing musicality, foundational technique, coordination and gross motor skills, Grove and Move is perfect for all boys and girls who love to dance to the beat of their own drum! For students aged 3.5 - 5 years.

Children are enchanted by costumes, activities and musical stories in our Kindy Moves classes. Our Kindy Movers are encouraged to harness their growing fascination of dance, movement and music whilst dancing alongside their teachers and friends. Themes, stories, props and music change regularly to continually encourage inspiration and imagination.

A combination class of Petite and Kindy Moves programs. For those students who are nearly four, or recently turned four.

Term fees include a $10.00 registration fee. This assists in covering costs involved with your child's name tag, reward chart, end of term certificate, any makeup lessons they attend, increases in hall hire and staff wages. We sincerely thank you for your understanding as we do our best to ensure Little Moves is both an accessible and profitable business.

Logically progressing from our Kindy Moves classes, Prep Ballet focuses on further developing your child’s movement, musical and creative skills through beautifully crafted exercises and improvisations. Students are encouraged to think and move based on their own artistic choices which ensures that each lesson has a unique and vibrant energy.

Created as an introductory program, Prep Jazz, aims to develop important key skills in co-ordination, balance, agility and control. Movement experiences are super-charged and super-fun, incorporating high energy dance sequences and age appropriate technique. Your little dancer will adore and delight in learning the latest steps and dancing to their favourite tunes.

Junior Ballet is an extension class for students who have a particular interest in studying classical ballet and would like to further their understanding in ballet vocabulary, perform more difficult movement sequences and refine their technique. Students are guided through this carefully curated program with the use of props, classical and traditional ballet music and visual stimulus. While this program is designed to challenge student’s technical ability, our teachers maintain a positive, collaborative and nurturing learning environment.

Extending their skills and love of movement as they grow, our Junior Movers experience the excitement of learning other dance styles such as Jazz, Hip Hop, Tap and Musical Theatre. Movement control, strength and agility are encouraged in our action packed classes as our focus on technique is strengthened.

Junior Ballet 2 is an extension class for students who have completed Junior Ballet 1 and would like to further their balletic understanding. Encouraging students to develop their foundational technique, this program also offers students the chance to choreograph, dance in group and pas de deux settings and learn ballet at the barre.

Students will engage in wonderfully fun creative processes such as improvisation, role playing and story telling. As they explore and learn, students will develop key creative skills in communication, collaboration and confidence.  A world of fun, imagination, fantastical characters and stories awaits!

Strengthening technique, musical understanding and performance quality, classes are dynamic, engaging and challenging. JM2, Term 2 fees include Tap shoe hire.

Following Junior Moves Three, Junior Extension is a fun, fast-paced program which explores Contemporary, Jazz and Repetoire technique, for children aged 8-10 years. Encouraging students to further develop their coordination, flexibility and dance technique, Junior Extension is Little Moves’ most senior program.

Progressing from Junior Ballet Three, Ballet Extension is for students who wish to continue their ballet vocabulary in a nurturing, age appropriate setting. Lessons focus on strengthening technique, improving flexibility, encourage self expression and further develop technique. We invite new and existing students to attend this class.
